The 100 Girl Hike
The goal of the 100 Girl Hike Initiative is to help improve the mental and physical well-being of 100 Black and Brown girls, women, and non-binary individuals by exposing us to enriching outdoor experiences across the state of Georgia, while learning more about careers in environment and sustainability. High Falls, July 30, 2022
High Falls State Park is a popular warm-weather outdoor destination, well-loved for its glassy lake and enormous, multi-tiered waterfall. High Falls is located approximately 50 minutes outside of Atlanta near the city of Jackson in Monroe County, Georgia, part of the Macon metropolitan area. This hiking trail is easy-moderate difficulty.
Arabia Mountain, Aug. 20, 2022
Located just 25 minutes outside of Atlanta in the city of Lithonia, Arabia Mountain spans hundreds of scenic acres just east of Atlanta, from breathtaking mountain summits and wildlife-filled grassy meadows to small, glassy lakes and wide-open fields of rock and boulders. The difficulty level is easy.
Bamboo Forest, Sept. 24, 2022
The Bamboo Forest is located just 25-minutes outside of Atlanta. It's the perfect place to escape to the woods, explore a bamboo forest, and exchange the busy sounds of the city for tweeting birds and rushing water. The Bamboo Forest also calls for a serene photo op. The difficulty level is easy for this trail.

This program is for those who identify as Black or Brown girls, women, and/or non-binary

Participants will receive healthy snacks, reusable water bottles, and other GPE swag

Car pool is available for those in need of transportation

Meeting time for all hikes are 9:30am ET on Saturdays

Reimbursement for parking costs may be available

All participants must complete a participant waiver in order to participate in the hike

Participants must be 10 and older to participant in the hike. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and adult
